10 REASONS WHY VIDEO IS ESSENTIAL TO YOUR WEBSITE

1 – Clarity – You can explain what your company does. This is particularly useful if your company does something new or unusual. We found this particularly pertinent at Cloud Edits. 5 – It’s expected – Viewing video online is now the norm and is increasing “Over 6 billion hours of video are watched each month on YouTube—that’s almost an hour for every person on Earth”[1]. With advances in technology pushing to make higher resolution video available at lower bandwidths, viewing video online will quickly become the norm.

6 – Cross-platform promotion – A video can be promoted on a variety of social media sites to attract visitors to your website: Facebook, Vimeo, Google+ YouTube. They are easy to share and in fact 1 in 2 viewers of online video regularly share[2]

7 – Personality – Well designed websites reflect the personality of a company and video can illustrate this. You might be offering a product or service that others already deliver. Your personality can set you apart from the competition.
